My name is Samantha Rodriguez (I go by Sami much of the time) and I am a fourth year student at the very great San Jose State University. I am currently an English major and Humanities minor. I should (*crosses fingers*) be graduating in a years time, and I cannot wait.
This class will be a new experience for me, as I have never written a blog or done any kind of journalism. I have had one story published in a magazine on campus, but it was about my family, not a news story. I am very interested to challenge myself in trying something new this semester and can't wait to get started!
As far as my personal interests go, I absolutely love reading and books (hence the English degree) and hope to one day work for a publishing company. I work at Toys R Us for the time being and love children and toys! I am very close with my family -- my parents especially. I love them to death and couldn't have asked for a better childhood with them.
